A Few Ideas To Help With Your Wedding Budget

We have been thinking of a few things that might be helpful to you and your budget.

GUEST LIST: Keep Your Guest List To A Minimum
It’s not always that easy, but your guest list is the first thing to trim. The rule of 20% of your invitees not attending is not always the case. Think about it, if you can cut just 10 guests at $100 a head it will save you $1,000.

INVITATIONS & STATIONERY: Engraving Savings
Instead of having invitations engraved, you can use a more cost-effective method of thermography. Have a clean simple invitation and invest in the wording of the invitation and add a nice saying or love quote to make it unique.

Save-the-Date: You can email your SAVE-THE-DATE and not have a professionally designed and printed save-the-date cards.

RECEPTION: Have your ceremony and reception held at one site. You’ll save on labor fees to move flowers and decorations, and also on transportation for your bridal party and guests. It is more convenient and less stressful. Saturday is prime time, consider planning your wedding on a Friday or Sunday.

Traditional Champagne Toast: Instead of having to pay an additional fee for champagne, you can have your guests toast with their drinks of choice from the bar.

Hosted Bar: If you are having an open bar by the hour package, consider cutting half an hour between the end of cocktail reception and the beginning of the meal, and cut another half an hour before the end of the wedding reception.

Cocktail hour: Cocktail reception does not need to last a whole hour. Work with your photographer on timing the formal photos so you can have a shorter cocktail reception.

WEDDING CAKE: Have the baker make a sheet cake of the same flavor of your beautiful cake to be cut in the kitchen and served for your guests and have a smaller cake for presentation and for you to cut for pictures.

FLOWERS & DÉCOR: To save money on flowers choose a single variety like all roses or all hydrangea. The more variety you add to the higher your cost will go.

Candles: Buy your own candles and have it placed on your guest tables

Repurpose flowers: Talk to your florist ahead of time on moving centerpieces from ceremony to the reception and using bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets as part of guest tables décor.

Hire a professional Wedding Consultant: Your wedding consultant will save you costly decisions and will get you perks and better prices due to the relationship they have built with other industry suppliers. You will save valuable time and ”Time is money”. In the end, you will save not only money but also lots of headaches and stress by having a professional by your side for guidance and support.

HAPPY PLANNING!
