Weddings and Events by Ruth is a luxury boutique event planning company based in Dallas, TX, led by owner and Certified Wedding Consultant, Ruth Spirer. With years of experience and a deep passion for creating meaningful celebrations, Ruth and her team are dedicated to making each couple feel truly cared for throughout the planning journey.

Ruth is a proud member of the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners (AACWP), where members uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism, as well as the Society of Wedding Professionals (SWP). Her credentials are matched by a rich background in hospitality, having held leadership roles in catering and event management at esteemed properties in Israel and in the Dallas. These experiences gave Ruth a solid foundation in impeccable service, flawless execution, and an understanding of how-to bring visions to life with grace and ease. Her Israeli and European heritage, coupled with multilingual skills, have shaped her ability to connect with and celebrate couples from different Jewish cultures, interfaith, and international backgrounds. Since launching her own planning business in 2004, Ruth has become a trusted expert in creating events that honor tradition while reflecting each couple’s unique story.

MY STORY

My love for weddings began at a very young age in Israel, where it’s customary for entire families, children included to attend celebrations. Growing up, I was often at weddings with my parents, and I was mesmerized by every detail: the joyful energy, the music, the food, and most of all, the radiant bride surrounded by loved ones. I especially remember standing near the stage, captivated by the live band and eager to join the dancing.

Years later, while working in hotels and coordinating all kinds of social events, I realized that weddings were my true passion, which led me to launch Weddings and Events by Ruth in 2004.

I feel very grateful to have built a career around something I genuinely love.
